Michael Sweeney was born in the year of 1983 in Reno, NV. As a child, Michael took an interest in movies, and how they immersed the viewer into a world of the imagination. Inspired by the worlds that they presented, Michael knew what he wanted to do with his life. Seeking out his first camera at the age of 10 he plugged it into the VCR and shot his first movie, and this is where his relentless pursuit of his dream began.
As Michael progressed through the years, his understanding of the visual image increased. His eye for moving images came on naturally which helped Michael garner a name for himself as a Cinematographer, Editor and Film Director in the Music Video and Independent Film field. His distinct style has and can be picked out which gives him a one up against other filmmakers and a bit of that originality that is hard to find these days.
Michael has worked with numerous cameras including the now popular digital SLRs like the Canon 7D and various 35mm adapters such as the Redrock Micro M2. He has also been trained on rigs such as the Steadicam and Glidecam.
Although camera work may be his passion, video editing is yet another skill Michael has honed. He has been using the Adobe products such as Adobe Premiere almost since the start of Adobe it’s self.
Along side of Nevada Casting Group, Inc., Northern Nevada’s premiere casting agency, Michael has worked with just about everyone in the Reno area. He has worked with people such as Juli Green of Nevada Casting Group, Inc., James D. Schumacher III a local director, and Dominic Lopez, another director and cinematographer local to the Reno, NV area.
Everythingtonothing Studios was started in 1999 to house the creative ideas and projects Michael Sweeney created. The first start was a foray into short films which quickly expanded into features, music videos, and documentaries.
ETN Studios has housed some of the best visual arts around the Reno, NV area. Through the years, others have come and gone through ETN and without those people, we could not be possible.
With access to a group of individuals whom each excel in differents fields, this makes ETN a valuable asset to any independent or commercial production. This includes but not limited to, visual effects, original music, and an equipment house full of fun toys to use on a film or commercial.
ETN has always had the motto, quality before quantity, and this is a vow that will continue to be seen through visual creation.
