“3 Tickets to Paradise”…

"3 Tickets to Paradise"

Fresh back from Mexico with a head full of trouble, AJ Parker is wanted by everyone.  The cartels have a price on her head, the Federales are curious and her own government is ready to kick her to the dogs.  Her last chance is a return trip to a ghost town she knows all too well- Paradise, Mexico.  Jake Slaughter knows there is gold in Paradise but he needs AJ to show him the way. That means back to Mexico for AJ.  But the second they cross the border, the hounds are hunting her down as Jake, AJ, and Chris – AJ’s greedy ex-husband, must shoot their way past two dozen armed Mexican banditos in order to make it back from Paradise.

Starring Michele Manhart and Joe Bell with co-star Martin Kove (Karate Kid and Rambo), this is a feature film we’ve been working on the part two months down in Arizona.  We’ve blown stuff up and had car chases.  It’s been an experience and something that’s been keeping us busy.

“Nu MOses”, that’s a wrap!

Nu MOses

After almost a month of principle photography, we have wrapped on the feature directed by Cassady O’Neal.  It was a fun experience filled with driving all over Manhattan, The Bronx, and Brooklyn.  We shot in places like old cemeteries to nice hotels.  It’s always a bittersweet time when it gets to this point but we are happy to move onto the next project.  Cassady has months ahead of him of stop motion animation and editing which is sure to keep him busy.  Look for updates and the final film in the coming months.

Connected Poster

Connected from Dominic López on Vimeo

In a world consumed by mobile technology, one man sets out to free a lost soul by unplugging him from this world taken over by the “machines.”
Sid and Craig sit at a restaurant grabbing a bite to eat. When Craig fails to put down his cellphone, and Sid notices the rest of the diners share his horrible cellphone etiquette, Sid goes on a rant about how society has become distracted by our devices. Noticing the Gamer Kid, a man who is desperately in need of help, sitting at the other end of the restaurant, Sid decides to become his savior and free him from his electronic chains by smashing his laptop. However, the Gamer Kid isn’t a push over and Sid quickly realizes he’s made a terrible mistake.

ETN Studios worked along side Ryan Baker of Sixgun Pictures and with Dominic Lopez to create this funny short.

“Nu Moses”

Nu MOses

ETN Studios is about to depart to the very city of Brooklyn, New York to be a part of the feature film, “Nu MOses”, directed by Cassady O’Neal.

This is sure to be an adventure.

NEW MOSES is a comedy about the new world order.  What begins as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a rapper’s debut album becomes a much larger story when the world’s greatest and most influential MC dies of a drug overdose the same day they begin filming.  Driven by their own stoner paranoia, the lead characters, Frankie and his cameraman/best friend Mark, transform the behind-the-scenes into an investigative search for the killer of Nu MOses, the MC who tragically passed.

The film is set in Brooklyn, New York, the former stomping grounds of Nu MOses.  It is a satirical romp through the world of the Illuminati, music industry, and the druggy deranged mind of its lead character Franklin Keyes.  As Frankie rises in the ranks of the music industry he becomes an unlikely replacement as the world’s new Nu MOses.  In their continued investigation of the murder of Nu MOses, they discover more and more about their fallen hero, who’s public persona seems to be the furthest thing from who he actually was.

The film deals with identity, race relations, sexuality, art, and drugs as the two white hip hop fans search for the killer of Nu MOses in the hedonistic world of the entertainment industry.  Embedded in this film is a very personal story about brotherhood, drug addiction, and the loss of our heroes as told from a Truther’s perspective.  A Truther is anyone who challenges the mainstream media and without the Truthers, we would not have a check on the media machine that we too often trust without question.  That being said, this film is not political.  It is a fun/tragic trip through the underworld of the entertainment industry as we discover what it takes to be an American icon.
